Orion Systems Group Awarded Five Year GSA Contract

Fairfax, VA, July 1, 2010 - Orion Systems Group has been awarded a five year GSA contract from the federal government. The contract was officially awarded on July 1, 2010 under GSA Schedule 84, Total Solutions for Law Enforcement, Security, Facilities Management, Fire, Rescue, Clothing, Marine Craft and Emergency/Disaster Response, Contract # GS-07F-0525W. Orion Systems Group's contract includes multiple IP based video surveillance systems, access control systems and related services providing choice and flexibility for purchasers.

On June 26, 2008 Public Law 110-248, the Local Preparedness Acquisition Act, amended the "Cooperative Purchasing" provisions of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act to allow the Administrator of General Services to provide states and localities access to certain items offered through GSA's Federal Supply Schedule 84. The products and services available to state and local governments include alarm and signal systems, facility management systems, security equipment and systems, and related design, deployment and sustainment services.

Commenting on the GSA contract award, Orion Systems Group President, Paul Garver said, "We have been supplying our products and services to federal, state, and local governments for years.
