Orion Systems Group listed by Underwriters Laboratories
as a provider of UL 2050 Certificated Systems
System certification enables company to monitor and service U.S. government facilities
Fairfax, VA, June 24, 2009 – Orion Systems Group, a leader in the security industry, has been Underwriters Laboratories’ (UL) Listed in the Certificate Service Category of CRZH, National Industrial Security Systems. The CRZH Listing allows Orion Systems Group to provide, install, and service alarm systems certified as National Industrial Security Systems for the U.S. government.
These systems, also known as “UL 2050 certificated sites”, are typically installed in government or government contractor facilities known as SCIFs (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility). These facilities house confidential government material including documents, military equipment, information systems and personnel. A company is listed only after it completes a rigorous evaluation of its installation processes and standards and can demonstrate that it meets specific criteria designated by UL.
“This Listing adds OSG to a small group of elite government security providers,” said Paul Garver, President of Orion Systems Group. “In addition to making us more competitive in the government security sector, it opens doors of opportunity that will lead us to a larger share of the government solutions market.”
